Alvis has appointed former Sevilla boss Machin as his new head coach

Deportivo Aleves on Wednesday announced the appointment of former Sevilla and Espanyol manager Pablo Machin‌la as their new head coach, replacing La Liga club Juan Ramon Lopez Muniz. Muniz captured Alves at the end of the 2019-20 season and finished 16th with just one win in four matches.

Machin, 45, was named head coach of Chinese Super League team King Huanghai in July, but one of his relatives was unable to travel to China after testing positive for COVID-19.

Prior to joining Girona in 2014, Spaniard cut his divisional teeth in Numania on behalf of the Second Division and oversees his promotion to La Liga three years later.
